Biała Podlaska z litewskim rodowodem
Biała Podlaska to miasto w województwie lubelskim, przez miejscowość przepływają rzeki Rudka, Klukówka i Krzna która jest lewym dopływem Bugu.
Historia Białej Podlaskiej sięga roku 1345, kiedy nazwa miasta pojawiła się pierwszy raz w dokumentach historycznych. Pierwszymi właścicielami Białej Podlaskiej byli Iliniczowie, czyli litewski ród szlachecki herbu Korczak. Za założyciela miasta uznano Piotra Janowicza o przydomku "Biały."
Zabytki Białej Podlaskiej to: kościół pw. św. Anny, zespół pałacowo-parkowy Radziwiłłów, eklektyczne kamieniczki z przełomu XIX i XX wieku, późnobarokowy kościół pw. Narodzenia NMP, pomnik Józefa Ignacego Kraszewskiego, Zakon Braci Mniejszych Kapucynów, cmentarz żydowski, budynek dworca kolejowego z lat dwudziestych, zbiory Muzeum Południowego Podlasia, cmentarz prawosławny, budynek magistratu z 1835 roku, pomnik 34 Pułku Piechoty przy ulicy Warszawskiej czy austeria, czyli najstarszy dom zajezdny.
W czasach międzywojennych Biała Podlaska słynęła głównie z Podlaskiej Wytwórni Samolotowej, był też zakład chemiczny w którym produkowano pudry, mydła i pomady. W latach 1967-2009 działały zakłady włókiennicze Biawena. Od roku 1996 funkcjonuje firma AluTeam Polska która zajmuje się produkcją skrzyń ładunkowych do zabudowy samochodowej, działają też firmy budowlane i produkcji odzieży specjalnej, np. mundurowej.
W Białej Podlaskiej znajduje się baza noclegowa i baza gastronomiczna.
W Białej Podlaskiej było kiedyś lotnisko, używane do celów wojskowych. Obecnie obszar lotniska zajmowany jest przez jednostkę wojskową.
