Głogów to miasto w województwie dolnośląskim nad rzeką Odrą. Miasto znajduje się na pograniczu Wzgórz Dalkowskich i Pradoliny Barucko-Głogowskiej, znaczna część Głogowa położone jest na lewym brzegu rzeki Odry.
Przez Głogów przebiegają Wielkopolska Droga św. Jakuba i Dolnośląska Droga św. Jakuba, jest to odcinek szlaku pielgrzymkowego prowadzącego do grobu św. Jakuba znajdującego się w Santiago de Compostela w Hiszpanii.
