Radom to miasto w województwie mazowieckim, lezące nad rzeką Mleczną, na peryferiach historycznej Małopolski. Jest to drugie miasto pod względem pod względem wielkości w województwie mazowieckim. Niegdyś miasto królewskie, w czasie Księstwa Warszawskiego było stolicą departamentu radomskiego. Radom jest siedzibą powiatu radomskiego oraz kurii diecezji radomskiej.
